The Coxhoe and Area Community Pantry opened its doors at the beginning of March 2021.
The Community Pantry is a Partnership between Coxhoe Parish Council, Coxhoe Village Hall, Coxhoe Cares Volunteers, FareShare and The Co-op. It has received funding from the East Durham Rural Corridor Area Action Partnership (AAP) and County Councillors Stuart Dunn and Maura McKeown. The Village Hall and the Parish Council has dedicated staff time to the community pantry and the Village Hall has also provided a storeroom. It is open to anyone who may be facing tough financial times at the moment, for whatever reason, and is able to distribute food that otherwise might go to waste.
